The Respiratory Technology Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research was established in 2012 to bridge fundamental respiratory science (molecular pharmacology and cell biology) with clinical research (physiology, epidemiology and clinical management).
The group, headed by Paul M young and Daniela Traini, is a leader in drug formulation, device development, characterisation and delivery.
The Woolcock is a world leading respiratory and sleep research organisation whose aim is to foster, develop and promote research into the fields of respiratory and sleep medicine. It has over 200 researchers based at its purpose built facilities in Sydney and affiliated clinical centres and hospitals.
The Respiratory Technology Group moved to the Woolcock in mid-2012. Our purpose-built state-of-the-art formulation, engineering and characterisation laboratory facilities were opened in January 2013.
